When a vehicle is traveling on the road, the air around it will encounter various surfaces, such as the bumper, hood, mirrors, etc. The air will attach itself to the vehicle as it flows up and over the top of the hood, the front windshield and roof, depending on the shape of the vehicle, will then continue dow the rear windshield and onto the trunk and eventually depart of the end of the vehicle.
What Victory Function has designed is a trunk extension, not a spoiler, you may even call it an anti spoiler which creates more effective airflow which retaining a stock look and allowing for a wing as well.
