A few years back, BMW tuner extraordinaire, AC Schnitzer produced the ACL2. This car was so bananas that on the eve of our announcement of adding the M2 to the DSG line up, we thought it a good moment to take a trip down memory lane, to one of the craziest cars AC has ever built.

The ACL2 used the M235i as a base and ended up with a total monster that decimated the road car record at the Nurburgring, far surpassing the previous record holder, the M4 GTS by 2 seconds. Not to mention the Porsche 911 GTS RS 4.0, GTR and SLS AMG Black Series.

Alright we're getting ahead of ourselves, let's get into the nuts and bolts. The ACL2 uses a motorsport limited slip plate differential and adjustable dampers, along with a refined aero kit which includes a carbon rear wing and front canards.
This particular M235i is fitted with an M4 powertrain with a twin turbocharged straight six, bringing it to jaw dropping 562bhp.
